Mike and James, proud owners of The Airplane Factory, are back in South Africa after flying the production prototype Sling from Johannesburg, South Africa, to the Oshkosh Airventure Airshow, Wisconsin USA, then continuing their journey westwards circumnavigating the globe. This journey took them over one calendar month, starting on 18 July and ending on 27 August 2009.



Progress Report

Mike & James arrived back at Springs Airfield, Johannesburg after flying for 40 days, visiting 13 countries, and covering a distance of approximately 45,150km in the Sling light sports aircraft which they had built with their team at The Airplane Factory. Congratulations guys!
