Kit Builders Support • Re: Cost
thanx for the replyreason for wishing to it all myself, is mainly the money
fortunately, have the skills the tools and the background
if in the meantime I should happen to come into some money, would order a complete one
need to make a turn at the premises/headoffice, that was shown
not too far from me, recognised the place.

Kit Builders Support • Re: Cost
Hi kfxnando,My 5 cents worth but there are a lot of factors to consider when you build your own plane that will determine the final cost of the project eg: engine, paint, trim, instrument specks ........ I am nearing completion of my plane and are looking at about R 500k compared to ready to fly R 820k. If you are a hands on person that can do most or all the work needed it saves a lot of money for outwork like painting, trimming, wiring ext are axpencive. My dicision to build was not only the savings part but the challange and the satisfying feeling of seeing my creation in the air.
